... they want to get into a school more than they actually want to go to school? what if i get in... do i really want to go? can i even survive the academics?
It is a "funny" point you bring up that I like to talk about. After you get into HBS or Stanford or any other top 20 school, my question is usually - do you really have to go? Have a lot of people been kicked out of those 2 schools? Do you really have to waste $150K + Income = $300K to prove that you can stay in school without getting kicked out. Getting in was the hardest part and that all that counts, mostly.... feel free to disagree.
As to studying, it is not hard to bet a B in bschool (that's D basically, and if you get a B-, that means you failed).
it is different than undergrad....
