anyone applying to Haas? [#permalink]
15 Nov 2006, 18:55
Hi,
Is anyone applying to Haas part-time? I submitted my app for R1 (deadline today). How long does it take for the decision? Any ideas?

I'm applying next round. Their cut-off dates are really strange. Everyone else has a deadline around the 1st week of January, but theirs is Jan. 31.

I think Jan 31 is the R3 deadline. R2 is somewhere in Dec.

Whats the date for that? Maybe I'll throw in a Haas app for the heck of it.

i was planning to apply in R1 but couldn't because of their stupid stupid stupid TOEFL rule....
I am required to take a TOEFL...the only school that asks for it...no waiver!! ...and a stupid explanation - "UC-Berkely rules require a TOEFL, we have just inherited that rule"!....
i mean comon, i have studied in the a unversity where classes are taught in English and have been working in the US for 3 years...and now I have to spend $150 on taking the exam just for this one school + spend some valuable time preparing for it
at one point it crossed my mind to skip Haas

Hehe. I haven't even started mine. I assume this means I have little to no chance to make it in time, but I'll take the challenge.

Same here - I missed R1 due to darn TOEFL. Couldn't even think you can only enroll with a 3-week offset!

I think R3 at Berkeley is like R2 at a lot of schools. Their pamphlets and info sessions say to avoid the last round (R4 for Berkeley).
