Hello everyone!

Finally decided to go for USC and not anywhere else :D applied for the F1 visa and my interview is next week (hope everything goes smoothly) :)
Just thought I'd start this thread to see who else will be starting the program this year. I'll be starting in the summer. Maybe we could help each other out with any questions here and there as well.

Most likely! Are you doing summer session or starting in the fall? Where are you from (since Americans don't usually apply for the F-1 ;) )

I'm starting in the summer :) As of now, I'm waiting for information about housing to come out so I can reserve a dorm for the summer and then I'll go elsewhere for the fall.

haha obviously.. I'm from Kuwait!

Hi, I got accepted into USC for the MAcc program and UIUC (MSA). I am also an international student (Botswana). Have not made a final decision though. A lot of things to bear in mind before I do. But as it stands I think I am leaning more towards USC!

Hey snair =) I read your post on the other thread. Good luck deciding between the two schools. I don't think you could go wrong with either one. Both have amazing programs from what I hear and both are top accounting schools! (I'll always be rooting for USC though since I'm going to attend :p)

I got accepted by USC and will be starting in the summer. Have you looked an any housing options?

Congratulations nzt!

Do you mean university dorms or apartments elsewhere? As for dorms, I know they haven't released any information about that until now. I have been looking for apartments for the fall and spring. I'm looking at apartments in Marina del Rey for now. I think I'd like to live there. Apartments there aren't the cheapest though (almost 1800 - 2000 dollars per month for a one bedroom apartment). I think it would be a 30 - 45 minute drive to USC with traffic. Much less without traffic.

Do you have any locations in mind? The more options, the better.

I know that some current students live across the street from campus at Tuscany Apts. However, it's not on the cheap side.

Try emailing current students/USC MAcc ambassadors/admissions for where to live b/c you want to be careful about which area you live in.

I'm in your old boat and trying to decide what school to go to - UT vs. USC.

Good luck deciding beicatech!

I heard apartments around USC aren't the best choice since it's more "urban" over there and the area has its complications. I'm not sure though.

I just finished my visa interview today and it got approved on the spot! :D That's one thing to cross off the list. I feel so relieved.
