Hello,

I was wondering if anyone here had a regular job and was looking to attend a part time program outside of their immediate area. I was wondering if this is common or a rare thing. I live in the DC area, but was wondering if I am limited to part time programs in the area or if it is possible to commute for a part time program. I would figure that it would be for weekends.

I know for executive programs, there are many students who fly in. Without any type of scientific survey, it looks to me like at Wharton, about 20-30% of students fly in from other areas. When I interviewed at the Berkeley/Columbia program, they mentioned that they had a group of students flying in from Los Angeles as well as other areas.

For the part time programs (not exec), I believe most of them are local.

In general, the better the school, the more students you will have flying in.

Dan.
