Application Deadline & International Students [#permalink]

hello to all aspiring guys out here!
I had a doubt regarding the application deadlines given by different universities for their different rounds.it might sound a silly one due to my ignorance of the same.
When a Univ says x as its application deadline, then does it means that one registers oneself with Univ for applying before that date, while other details like Acad performance and Essays etc are to be submitted later, or one needs to be in condition to submit everything including recommendations before the application deadline ?
Apart from this, how is the gpa of international students judged , as we have a system on 10 point scale. Is it proportionately converted to scale of 4 or separately judged. Also, how much does it matter to have graduated from a top Univ of parent country but with relatively less gps score?

The deadlines for most places means everything has to be completed. There are a couple exceptions of schools saying they have a grace period for gmat scores or reference letters, but everything from YOU has to be in by the deadline date.
As far as GPA goes, I would contact the school itself. Most of the apps I filled out asked on what scale your GPA was. Open an application and just take a gander to see what the school specifically asks.
Also, most USA schools will ask for all international apps before RD2. I made that mistake and missed out on applying to UCLA.
