Application Deadlines....Question

I am planning on applying to a couple of schools in R1, one school has a deadline of Oct 11th...I am sure I can complete my application in time, however, one of my reccommendors is going on vacation and wont be back until mid-OCT...does my application than get accepted for R2 if I cant get all my recon letters in time?

I can get one of my recommendors to submit my letters by the deadline...just worried that my application might get bumped in R2 if one of my recommendors is late...

Any idea how adcoms treat these situations?

Most schools will bump it to R2 if the recs aren't in, but check with the school in question. It may have a different policy.
