Application Due in 10 Months - What to do? [#permalink] New post 28 Dec 2012, 16:48
Hi,

This is my first post and would love any advice. I've been thinking about an MBA for a while and would like to submit an application in first round next year (October 2013). I'll be 28 in April and have been working as an urban planner since graduating from Denison University in 2007 with a very poor GPA. My struggle is how to spend the next 10 months to make my application as attractive as possible. I still have to take a gmat prep course to make sure I do well but other than that I'm debating between taking a community college math class to boost my gpa and taking a professional certification exam (American Institute of Certified Planners) to show high career status. I don't think that I have time to do both plus the gmat course (which is a must). I'm also open to any other ideas you have.

As you can sense I'm desperate for any advice so please let me know what you think. Thanks!
