I have been doing some research but have yet to contact any application essay review services. Which ones are recommended?

Also, what sort of experience have people had with these services (i.e. do you recommend using them)? What should I realistically expect them to do to my essays, minor changes or significant overhauls if need be? Thanks

buddy, there is a specific thread called "Best admission consulting services" . Search for that. thats a great thread for the info you seek.

What I've done in a situation similar to yours was applying for the help to the site specializing in this very field (Admission-essays). But I didn't restricted to just using their services. Although the reason for not writing it by myself was my absolute lack of writing skills, I reviewed it thoroughly and made the essay more personal. In other words, I had a basis to work with.

I highly recommend Essay Snark. ES isn't a copy editor. He reviews your essays and gives feedback on the content and messaging. He tells you what's working and what's not working. It is up to you to figure out how to fix it.
I used the essay review service last year for my Kellogg career goals essay. I was beyond satisfied and thought the feedback I received made a huge difference. It was also very affordable. Their website is www.essaysnark.com
