I intend to find out if it could be considered a negative to apply to both the MiF and the MBA programs at LBS. I intend to get into the IB/ Pvt Equity/ Trading/ Structuring domain post the program and thus am also targetting the MBA which I could structure according to my need given the flexi curriculum.

I just want to be sure, applying to both does not hurt my chances in either of them.

Never do that! You should know what you want and as a matter of fact, I believe the MiF application asks you why you want to do a MiF instead of an MBA. This is equivalent to applying to IBD and Markets position at the same investment bank. It's a guaranteed formula for failure.

Thanks for such a clear-cut answer! Leaves absolutely no room for doubt :-)
