Applying for an MSc in Europe [#permalink] New post 30 Mar 2008, 12:12
Hello,
I am planning to apply for a MSc in Finance or Management with plans to also apply for an MBA.
Academics: I graduated from a target school in the UK(UCL) with a 3.7 GPA in Engineering MEng degree.
Age: 24
GMAT: Yet to do aiming for 700+
Work Experience:
I have 1.8 years of experience at a private biotech company in Canada in process design and manufacturing experience.
I have won a competitive scholarship for research in the biotech field by the govt of Canada.
I am an Indian citizen who grew up in the middle east, studied in the U.K and now work in Canada so tons of international experience.

Extracurriculars: I currently coach Basketball for individuals with special needs participating in Special Olympics.

At University: President of Jazz society with experience organising concerts, fundraising and managing the various group activities within the society.

I wish to change my career path at this early stage. I would therefore think that an MBA is a good option, however the people I see applying have excellent careers and experiences. I do not want to submit sub par applications to a number of schools so I would really like to narrow my choices down.
My questions really are:
Do you think I can get into a top MBA program (thinking about applying to LBS and MITLFM)
Does my profile suit the entry requirements for top MSc programs, (Oxford MFE, HEC Paris MSc Management, LSE MSc Management, MSc Finance) These programs do not ask for prior experience in finance.

Your advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
