Correct modifier(the maya).
PS: is maya plural?

Only 'C' uses correct modifier.

it is a classic dangling modifier problem.

who are Architects and stonemasons? it is the maya

so C should be the correct answer.

Maya or Mayans can be used as plural nouns.

Definite C for the Modifier.
