Are Kaplan Online CAT Tests w/Book Same As Previous Year? [#permalink] New post 24 Jun 2010, 17:31
Hey Everyone,

I bought the Kaplan "GMAT Premier Live Online 2010 Edition" book last year which came with 5 CAT I could access online. I was thinking of buying the 2011 edition as access to the online material for the 2010 book expired on June 14, 2010. But first, I wanted to know, am I going to get access to the same CAT exams as I did last year (Cat exams #2,3,4,5,6) or do they update these with a brand new set?

i'm 99% sure they are the same tests (meaning the same question banks), however, as they are "computer-adaptive" some of the questions that appear may be different depending on what level the CAT thinks you are at.

i'm basing this on the fact that for every previous edition of Kaplan Premier the only changes have been mainly typos fixed and a few paragraphs, etc.

Hi Coolwow,

Unfortunately, the 2011 edition has the same CATs as the 2010 edition. However, as username pointed out, because the tests are adaptive, it's likely that you will only see a small selection of repeated questions.
