Are lists joined by OR plural? [#permalink] New post 26 Sep 2006, 17:15
I had a question that listed gerunds joined by or, and did not know if the verb following the list should be singular or plural. For instance:

Playing baseball, suba diving, or riding a horse engage children...

should it be "engage" or "engages?"

I am also looking for answers to the questions linked by "or".

Anyone knows? Is it the same as either... or..., and we only look at the one after "or"?
