The area of an equilateral triangle is 9.what is the area of it's circumcircle?

I know this probably involves formulas I am not familiar with.

Detailed explanation is appreciated.

Hi!

You can use the area of equilateral triangle formula.....\sqrt{3}/4 * (side)^2.
Further you have the radius of a circumcircle (r) = side/\sqrt{3}.
So now you are all set for the area of the circumcircle..........

Cheers
