I love the SC grail book , though it lacks the depth of the MGMAT SC guide . If you're able to work out all OG questions with a hit rate greater than 90% then you should be fine .

Actually it really depends on how much time you have . If you have plenty of time , I'd suggest that you go through th MGMAT SC guide . If you are short on time , then the SC GRAIL is fine.

If you feel that there is still room for improvement and need some extra material, then Manhattan SC is a good option.

I will caution you, however, to not put too much stock into OG Verbal. It's decent practice, but the questions (as a whole) are too easy.

For me, SC is best approached with constant coverage of the material. That means (1) multiple readings of SC guidebooks and (2) practicing with lots of practice questions and fully reviewing all the explanations - including the ones that you answer correctly.

MGMAT is must for 700+ level questions....
Aristotle prep is a condensed version of MGMAT sc guide...

No it's not. It's a completely different book.

In the end, Aristotle SC is good enough, considering the attention on the meaning now by Gmac, or no ??

Please let me know :)

It depends on how much time you have and what your target score is . If you have "enough" time I'd say do the MGMAT SC book . Once you are finished with that , I'd recommend that you do the GMAT prep question pack 1 questions , these are retired official questions , so they are fairly close to what questions you would see on test day .

I wouldn't recommend the SC grail unless you are really short on time . I just don't feel this book puts enough emphasis on the meaning based aspect of SC question . If you'd prefer to do an online course for SC I'd recommend the e-GMAT SC course .

Hope this helps ! Good luck !

Thanks :)

from an excerpt on the new question bank Sc there is a major stress on the meaning and seems really good.

Either way I have both books, so I could integrate them.

Thanks.

I think that is what they intend for GMAT prep question pack 1 questions

Is Aristotle worth it. I'm thinking of purchasing the SC & RC books. I already have the MGMAT RC, SC & CR books, so are those books recommendable?

Reading Comprehension is my weak link on the GMAT. I got around 85% of the questions right on the first 90 questions (OG 12), but it went down hill from there. I only answered 40% of the remaining questions correct (90 - 140 - OG 12). MGMAT RC is not very helpful though.

No one strategy or book helps you completely if you do not understand what really the passage ask you.

I also have MGMAT RC and also a bunch of meterial and after all the meaning is this: you must understand what the passage says.

Look at here: ron explain you step by step first the main idea, then inference question and other miscellaneous question for RC.

You can anything else but this: understand the concepts behind

Of course your accurancy is less when the passages increase in difficulty.

Oh I didn't know that they have new books coming but I think that the 3rd edition looks very good(at least the cover page does). From the description seems like a lot of things have changed in the book and the book has been improved considerably. I would have loved to review the book had I get a free copy as I buying the book doesn't make much sense to me because I'm long done with the GMAT :D In fact, I would have been able to review it better because i had used its 2nd edition and liked it so would know how much has changed/improved.

Since there are a couple of threads on this I'll post the same question here:

Anybody knows if there is a difference between 2nd and 3rd Edition of SC Grail? And is it possible to purchase a pdf version of the 3rd Edition? I am from far away and shipping it would be quite costly. Thanks for help.

I would also like to hear about Aristotle CR Book?

Thanks in advance!

By the way, has anybody extracted all of the questions from this pack yet? :) I'd be happy to purchase that! I have purchased this pack, but am more interested in getting the bank in a word format, so that I could sort them out properly.

On another note, please direct me to the post where this GMAT pack discussed. Thanks.

I'm not sure whether someone has done that. I hope not. $25 for 400 official questions is worth the investment if you are serious about MBA. Also, I really don't understand how a word doc can be better sorted than the GMAT prep software, which divides the questions on difficulty levels and has the option of reviewing and bookmarking questions.

You may type out a part of the question in the search box (or google) and you will find the thread. Also, if you do have the GMAT pack, each of the questions is comprehensively explained by the GMAC.
