As a bicycle salesperson, Norman earns a fixed salary of $20 per week plus$6 per bicycle for the first six bicycles he sells, $12 per bicycle for the next six bicycles he sells, and$18 per bicycle for every bicycle sold after the first 12. This week, Norman earned more than twice as much as he did last week. If he soldx bicycles last week and y bicycles this week, which of the following statements must be true?

I. y > 2x
II. y > x
III. y > 3

(A) I only
(B) II only
(C) I and II

Arrived at D but took freaking 4.5 minutes.

Take X=15 and y =25 we will see that last week Earnings = 182 and this week = 362. So if he sells 26 bikes he will make more than 2 times what he made last week. Y need not be greater than 2x

y> x obvious if he needs to make more money this week

y > 3 should be true because if y <=3 and even if x=0 his current week sal will NOT be double of last week's

Hence D. Any easy ways fellas??
