OA: B Eliminate all answers starting with "that" (should be "people who") and choose the most concious and not wordy answer - it is B.

Why not D ?
If we choose B, it says 'who might once have died in childhood of such infections as diphtheria, pneumonia ....
Shouldn't the underlined part end with 'died' so that it is 'died of such infections' .

B is better constructed sentence than D. There is no confusion for OA here
