It's E.

- Proper use of definite article "the"
- "all of the information" is singular so "is" is required.

I approached differently. First I narrowed down between B and E because "three percent" is a noun and should be modified by an adjective "mere" not by anadverb "merely". Then I found that information is singular and "are" should NOT be used (as used in B) with that.

Hence its E

E.

'Information' is singular, so A, B, C are out.
'50,000 to 100,000 of human cell’s different genes' is incorrect, so D is out.

Clear E.

"the" is required as we are talking about something specific (50000 genes)
Also "merely" is incorrect.

Can somebody clarify the usage of 'the' in the answer choices D, E?

Please expert, I need help on this.

E is the correct answer.

- Proper use of definite article "the"
- "all of the information" is singular so "is" is required.
