As per the MGMAT SC, complex gerunds are the gerunds when it is generally preceded by an article or when the object is put into an of-prepositional phrase or both. My doubt is whether a verb-Ing followed by "at""can be categorized in the complex gerunds.
Specific example: excelling of sports
