Thank you for your feedbacks. I am applying for the August 1st cycle for IMD.
I seek certain clarity with regards to my profile. Could you possibly suggest on the recruitment process for my situation?
I have a total of 8 yrs of IT exp with decent career progression. However, during these years, I also established my own retail firm to work in parallel, went bankrupt there, again started another service oriented firm of my own; and have been successfully running it for past three years.
I have a passion to take my own firm forward in future but it is still not at a stage of replacing my day-time IT job.
- Now, if I have to report my career progression; will IMD only considers my IT job profile? or will it also allow for a parallel (part-time) job as a legitimate job experience as well? or does this comes under extracurricular activity?
It will depend how much time you spend running your firm. If it’s just something you do at weekends, like a hobby, then it would go under extracurricular activity. If it’s something that you do regularly during the week and provides you a regular salary, then it would go under your career.
Hope this is clear, if not, please send us an email (mbainfo[at]imd.org) or give us a call (+41 21 618 02 98).

Hi Mark, I have sent email with queries to MBA office on 3 separate occasions, but haven't received any reply apart from the auto generated response. While few of my queries got resolved through other means, I still have open issues that need official clarification. I would really appreciate if these can be responded as soon as possible, or else I would miss the deadline of August 1, 2014. Thanks! _________________
