I was planning to apply in Krannert for its reputation in Operation Management (OpM)/Supply Chain Management (SCM). However, my recent linkedin analysis gives me an impression that most (if not all) of the MBA candidates/graduates of Krannert with specialization in OpM or SCM have an engineering background.
Please shed some light on whether MBA in SCM/OpM unofficially requires a HEAVY background in rigorous mathematics or in engineering?
PS: I don't have a background in engineering!
Thanks in advance!

Schawjibb,
Thank you for your question. We do not require (officially or unofficially) a heavy math or engineering background for our SCM/OpM concentration. We simply find that many of our applicants who are interested in SCM/OpM typically have a heavy math or engineering background. That said, if your background is in another area you still have just as good a chance of being admitted.
I hope that answers your question. Please let us know if you have others. We welcome your application.

In four years of college, I’ve had four different roommates. I’m not a horrible roommate, honest, it just happened to work out that way. This year, roommate #4 is different from the previous three; she is an international transfer student from China.
