At a certain college there are as many English majors as history majors and three times as many English majors as mathematics majors. What is the ratio of the number of history majors to the number of mathematics majors?

6 to 1
3 to 2
2 to 3
1 to 5
1 to 6

I got 2 to 3. This is how I arrived at my answer, where am I going wrong?

E = 2H
E = 3M

3M = 2H
History to math would be 2H / 3M?

jdphenom316, please correct the question, I get 3/1, which isn't among answer choices. May be you've omitted "twice as many English majors as history...?''

My apologies, I did omit the word "twice".

The correct answer is 3/2, how I am coming up with 2/3?
