Salary grade of 5 is p(5)=9.50+0.25(5–1)=9.50+0.25*4;
Salary grade of 1 is p(1)=9.50 + 0.25(1–1)=9.50;

p(5)-p(1)=9.50+0.25*4-9.50=1.

Answer: B.

p = 9.50 + 0.25(s – 1).
Hourly wage (p) if S=1 --> 9.50 + 0.25(1 – 1) = 9.5
Hourly wage (p) if S=5 --> 9.50 + 0.25(5 – 1) = 9.5 + 0.25 x 4 = 9.5 + 1.00

So the answer has to be B. Kindly confirm the OA because OA can not be C.
