If french fries cost twice as much as coleslaw, how much do french fries cost? (A)$0.30
(B) $0.45 (C)$0.60
(D) $0.75 (E)$0.90

Hamburger+Coleslaw=3.59
Hamburger+French Fries=4.40
French fries=2Coleslaw
H+C=3.59
H+2C=4.40
H=3.59-C
3.59-C+2C=4.40
C=4.40-3.59
C=0.81
So French Fries cost 1.62$Checking by backsolving-ok Hence there is a typo in answer choices The correct answer is 1.62$
