let 100 be the total of the members
30 represents the 60% of ppl using the pool hence you can work out that 50 members (50%) use the pool

Given:
40% of the members who use the pool do not use the sauna ---> this statement also means that 60% of the members who use the pool, also use the sauna.

So we get 60%x=30

x=50

I solved by using a venn diagram..

Haven't figure out how to 'draw this out' on the board.. so bear w/ me..

So we have three areas of the diagram: Pool, Both, and Sauna..

Pool = X
Both = 30
Sauna = 2x/5
(since 40% of the members who use the pool do not use the sauna)

solve the following equation...

x + 2x/5 + 30 = 100
