At a certain health club, 30% of the members use both the pool and the sauna, but 40% of the memebers who use pool do not use sauna. What % of members of healthclub use pool?
1) 33 1/3%
2) 40%
3) 50%
4) 63 1/2%
5) 75%

50%

Let number of % of ALL people who use pool but not sauna be X
hence
X/(30+X) = 40/100
or X=20

Hence % people using pool = 20+30= 50%

I think the problem is not ok. If 40% use only Pool and 30% use pool or sauna. If approach this using Venn diagram...its not working out at all. Srijay's soln I think is still missing some logic I am unsure what I am missing here....

I got 50% too.

Only Pool is 20% (Same way as Sirjay)
Pool + Sauna = 50%.

OA is 50%, C. I got it wrong in the first attempt too.
