a) 5/7
b) 7/10
c) 1/3
d) 7/30

I am kinda stumped by this one. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

let the total number of faculty members = 100
70 = women
30 = men
2/3 of men = 20 men are single. so 10 men are married.
60 = total married
hence married women = 50
fraction of women married = 50/70 = 5/7

answer is 'A'

Assume number of people in school = 100

# of women = 70
# of men = 30

# of married people = 60 = # of married men + # of married women.

# of married men = 1/3(30) = 10
So, # of married women = 50

hence, % of married women = 5/7

I agree with ywilfred 5/7. I initially did not read the question well. I thot it asked for fraction of faculty members that were women and married. Easy question to fail if you do not understand what is being asked of you! :oops:
