I will go with 'C'
A) There were more physical therapists than dieticians at Happywell last year - Cannot be concluded
(B) There was no dietician at Happy well last year who earned less than the average for a physical therapist. - Cannot be concluded
(D) At least one physical therapist earned less than the lowest-paid Happywell dietician last year. - For all we know there could just one dietician & one PT
(E) At least one dietician earned more than the highest-paid Happywell physical therapist last year. - Cannot conclude
saurya_s, I am sure why you wrote this 'C guys?' - Does this mean that this is not the OA

(C) for me too..
For average salary to become less than 40000, at least one employee other than P and D should have salary less than 40000.

At Honeywell last year:
average annual salary for dieticians: 50,000
average annual salary for physical therapist: 42,000
average fo all employees: 40,000
If the information above is correct, which one of the following conclusions can properly be drawn on the basis of it?
(A) There were more physical therapists than dieticians at Happywell last year.
- we can't tell that from the premises above
(B) There was no dietician at Happy well last year who earned less than the average for a physical therapist.
- not nescessarily true. We only have average values.
(C) At least one Happywell employee earned less than the average for a physical therapist last year.
- good choice. average for all employees is well below that of deiticians and slightly lower than that for therapists. this would mean at least one employee is paid less than a therapist, thus pulling the average for all employees down.
(D) At least one physical therapist earned less than the lowest-paid Happywell dietician last year.
- Can't tell
(E) At least one dietician earned more than the highest-paid Happywell physical therapist last year.
- Can't tell
C for me.

I'd go with C as it clearly stands out as one possible conclusion when compared to the others.

can someone leas explain why a is wrong.
i understand the logic in c but find it difficult to nderstand why the average wont be affected if he number of PT is more than he number of D as in a.

There are other physicians other than the two type. So we don't really know the relationship between the number of D and PT.
