my choice is D. argument seems to cite examples/contradictions to proves it point.

As for C, I don't think Democracy was ever "defined"

Another one for D because there is a contradiction here. Democracy forbids anything that offends another race/ethinicity.
This same democracy supports freedom of speech.

while I agree with D, I am not really sure if this is a GMAT quality question. Can you please share your source?.

(D) makes you wonder as to who the opponent is?. is it the Author?, then there shouldn't be any contradiction in what he is saying. Very twisted one!

This is just my guess, I think Bogdan is still working on migrating this site to a new version, so what we have a bear bone version. Hence you can't attach any documents till he completes the migration. BB or Praet can explain you better.
