Average age of MALE students at top MBA programs [#permalink] New post 04 Dec 2009, 13:47
There has been a lot of discussion recently about schools like H/S/W and perhaps even others trending younger. I heard that one reason (though not the main reason) for the downtick in average age is that some schools want to give women a chance to accelerate their careers before starting a family and thus admit more female students younger than 25. With women comprising 30-40% of the class at most schools, this could have a significant impact on the net average age. Are there any statistics available that show the average age at matriculation for male vs female students at various top schools?

Thats an interesting point, but I think that the majority or people in business school are men, so the small percentage that are women may or may not be younger, I do believe that the average age for male students to be 28-29.
