My GMAT scores are 650 (V77%/Q70%).
I am looking at a FEMBA program at UCLA Anderson.
The shocker for me was that I got a 4.0 AWA. I am wondering if I should spend the money for a rescoring. Has anyone tried rescoring and have been successful. I hope to get at least a 5.0
Anyone heard of anybody skipping a whole 1.0 point higher or should I just give up and hope for the best?
Thanks for the advise in advance.
I don't think it's worth your effort or money to try raising your AWA score. As other posters have noted, schools simply don't weight the AWA score as heavily as they do the Quantitative and Verbal components. Just make sure you write strong application essays--the writing samples that schools *do* care about (a lot).
