B-Sschools strong in Strategy [#permalink] New post 20 Jul 2010, 23:09
Hi all,

I have question related to the strategic managemet or i.e Strategy.

Which b-schools are strong in that manner ?

Any critical reasoning would be also great.

The first ones, I thought were MIT, Michigan, Booth, Fuqua, Kellogg.

Any add-ons would be much appreciated.
Thanks

Thanks for the effort.

But does Management here imply General Management, or maybe Management & Organizations not the Strategy, at least I think so.

Many schools (Columbia for instance) include Strategy in their Management departments. At Tuck, the department is called "Strategy and Management". Additionally, a reading of the top 10 in this list pretty much does look like the what one would expect the top 10 strategy schools in the US to be. Ergo, this is probably what you're looking for.

But,If so, I beg to differ at the point that where is MIT there, and Booth also ?
I also think that one can also consider the Phd programs of the schools whether they are having a strategy Phd.
What do you think ?

Hi amaterasu,

A number of candidates look to pursue strategic or management consulting post graduation. In terms of the big international consulting firms that recruit heavily, the MBA programs that are most recruited at are:

Harvard
MIT
Stanford
Kellogg
Chicago
Michigan
Wharton

Kellogg has an outrageous number of people going to McKinsey, for example.

I hope this was of help.

Best,

Conrad and the Stacy Blackman Consulting Team
