African American Male, mid-thirties.

GPA: 3.2 History
GMAT: 570 (85% V, 33% Q)
Law degree from top 20 school

Work Experience: 14 years
Owner of 4 different businesses

Extracurriculars:
Ran for public office
Coached special olympians and other team sports
College Athlete
And many others ...

Where should I apply? Would raising my GMAT score to a 630 make that much of a difference?

Where you apply will totally depend on what you want to do after business school. But, at a glance, I'd recommend that you try to raise your GMAT score by at least 80 points. That's a lot, so consider extensive preparation before you take it again.
