test is coming up quickly on Aug 2, where to go from here in my prep?

edit: Also I forgot to mention that I have already begun my studying and I am well acquainted with the test, also since I tried studying for it a few yrs ago but didn't follow thru back then.

So yeah, Aug is soon, but I am only aiming for 700-ish.

ONLY 700? Sorry if that sounds conceited, but the difference between a 650 and a 700 and between a 700 and 750 is ginormous when it comes to the GMAT.

Without any indication of what materials you have and what you expect to get advice on it's really hard to just say, okay do X and Y, I think. :)

Ideal, you aim for an 80/80 percentile split. In your case, that means heavy quant studying only.

My recommendation - go through OG 12 quant material. Create error log as you go. From error log, determine weak areas. Brush up on weak areas (ex: rate/work, geometry, remainders). Go through all marked error log problems and complete.

in some ways a lopside score is good easier to raise. Have you gone and review your problem area?? maybe stats fundemental or number properties. You should at this point figure out your holes in knowledge and review for a couple of days

Actually, now I'm confused. The GMATPrep software says "Quantitative-- 37 Questions, 14 incorrect", and "Verbal -- 41 Questions, 7 incorrect"

When I finished it, it told me my score was 640 and then gave the 37 and 41 numbers. But those seem like the number of questions in the exam, not my individual scores.

Can someone explain this to me?

I don't think that's referring to the number of questions, I think your scaled score just coincides with the number of questions.
