Ina certain game , a large conatiner is filled with red, yellow, green and blue beads worth, respectively, 7,5,3,and 2 points each. A number of beads are then removed from the container. If the product of the values of the removed beads is 147,000, how many red beads were removed?

A 5
B 4
C 3
D 2

147,000 = 2^3 * 3^1 * 5^3 * 7^ 2

147000 = 2*2*3*3*5*5*5*7*7

Therefore the answer is D) 2.

147000 is euqal to 7(Red) * 5( Yellow) * 3(Green) * 2(Blue) where Red, Yellow Green Blue is the # of respective color beads

Case1)
147000 = 7(Red) * 5(Yellow) * 3(Green) * 2 ( Blue)

Let # of Yellow be 7 green be 2 blue be 10

ie 147000 = 7 Red * 35 * 6 * 20
Red = 5

Case 2)
147000 = 7(Red) * 5(Yellow) * 3(Green) * 2 ( Blue)
Let # of Yellow be 7 green be 5 blue be 5
ie 147000 = 7 Red * 35 * 15 * 10
Red = 4

Similarly i can prove Red to be 3/2 and even zero those who wonder how red = 3 ie by picking no green beads ... ie green = 0 ... u do the math ....

someone explain the flaw in my explination

cool got it ... my mistake was not realizing even each similar color ball value is also multiplied not just distinct one ///..... just made the simple question tough by my mistake
