The existence of electonic mail systems having hundreds of thousands of subscribers are proof that while Americans may write fewer letter(s), another method of communication has arisen to take the place of writing letter(s).

E has a wrong S-V agreement.

(A) 'prove' does not have a clear noun
(B) too many 'that's. awkward
(C) Best Choice. 'The existence..., which have..., proves'
(D) 'by there existence prove' is awkward
(E) 'The existence...are proof' is inconsistent
