A. Because lack of education is the root cause of many other socials ills is the reason why ---- Lack of education is the subject here and the verb of this subject is - 'is' . The second 'is' seems to modify the entire highlighted clause(subject + verb) - wrong

B. Lack of education is the root cause of many other socials ills and is the reason why - grammatical correct (but wordy)

C. Because lack of education is the root cause of many other socials ills, - grammatically correct (and concise) - Correct

D. As a result of lack of education being the root cause of many other socials ills - very wordy(awkward sentence) -wrong

E. Because lack of education is the root cause of many illness in the society, - here many modifies illness. plural form of illness is illnesses - wrong

i think in option c the meaning is clear. flip the question so option C would b
most planners attack illiteracy first, Because lack of education is the root cause of many other socials ills.
wheres as in b and is used which is not required , they r not independent. In option b it seems planners would attack illiteracy first because of lack of education ( read illiteracy) whereas the intended meaning says planners would attack illiteracy first because it leads to other social ills.

Hope it helps :)

Because lack of education is the root cause of many other socials ills is the reason why most planners attack illiteracy first.

1. Because lack of education is the root cause of many other socials ills is the reason why
Wrong.

2. Lack of education is the root cause of many other socials ills and is the reason why
Wrong. B says that lack of education is the reason why..... <== wrong meaning. The intended meaning is that lack of education is the root cause of many other social ills, most planners.....

3. Because lack of education is the root cause of many other socials ills,
Correct.

4. As a result of lack of education being the root cause of many other socials ills
Wrong.

5. Because lack of education is the root cause of many illness in the society,
Wrong. Change meaning: social ills # illness in the society.

Hope it helps.
