Between 'B' and 'E' go for 'B'.
Needless to say that we should use word 'firms' + an infinitive here.

The correct idiom is "required to".
So we need not only a "to" but also something like "firm" which completes the latter part of the sentence "such firms tend to be very large."
SO B is the choice.

I looked erverywhere to find explanations about "required of" which sounded curiously to my ears... In the dictionnaries, I found only "required from"
has it the same meaning as "required from"?
Or is it a passive form, thus is it correct to say "...... required by firms"
