Because of widespread hurricane damage in Florida, the cost of a pound of tomatoes at the local fruit stand has increased 65%, while the cost of a pound of grapes has increased 25%. Therefore, tomatoes are now more expensive than grapes.

The argument's reasoning is questionable because the argument fails to rule out the possibility that

(A)the storm, tomatoes had already been more expensive than grapes
(B)tomatoes will fall back to their normal price more quickly than grapes will
(C)before the storm, tomatoes had increased in price less than grapes
(D)before the storm, grapes were significantly more expensive than tomatoes
(E)consumers will reduce their purchases of tomatoes until the price falls to below that of grapes.

D seems to be the obvious answer here. If a grape lb costs $1 and a tomato lb costs 10 cents, then the author's conclusion is invalid.
