When is the usage of "being" correct?

MGMAT says "being" is almost always incorrect...

When is it correct?

Usage of Having Being as sentence beginners is considered incorrect in GMAT.

But not sure otherwise may be some one can share their thoughts here.

when is "having being" correct? it is against the grammar. How can you use have + doing sth?

Being is almost always incorrect because it is considered wordy than its infinitive form, but it can be used to modify a sentence correctly.

e.g.:

He eats every day, making sure he is not starving.

IMO, I just take their advice with a pinch of salt. it really depends on the sentence and context.

Having or Being as sentence beginners I missed an or in between.

I think there are many situations in the GMAT where "being" is not technically gramatically incorrect, but is considered wordy and not necessary to the sentence.

There is a recent SC on here that illustrates this point.
