Benchmark GMAT Tests Too difficult?

Benchmark GMAT Tests Too difficult? [#permalink] New post   11 Sep 2010, 11:05
I'm taking the GMAT on October 28th and I was wondering if anyone else had tried Benchmark GMAT's tests and thought that they were really difficult compared to the actual gmat? I've downloaded the gmatprep software for comparison but I'm saving those tests for the week before I take the GMAT.

Please let me know if I should be worried because these questions seem much harder than OG 12 questions and I'm barely scoring 600.

i think most people take one gmac diagnostic before study so you get a "real" gauge of your ability. I havent heard of this test so i cant give input on that. I would suggest MGMAT, Kaplan, gmat club tests since they are used most often here

Knewton has pretty decent CAT's that resemble GMAT questions as well.

yeah but that comes with a price tag that is pretty high.

IMO also Knewton and Veritas tests are near to the real test but comes with the huge price tag :)

True. Take the GMAT Prep. I've never heard of BenchMark.

Benchmark is launching its RC test as well. They only had percentile scoring. I will try it to see how I do compared to other test takers.

Doing the Benchmark CAT's right now and thought the first one was pretty much on par with difficulty level of the GMAT. Will move my review to all-gmat-cat-practice-tests-links-prices-reviews-77460.html

I recommend ManhattanGMAT. Unfortunately, I can't say the same about any other test prep because I haven't taken them though I would skeptical about the "free" ones because of the possible some kind of marketing scheme and thus altering your true score. I ended up going with ManhattanGMAT because of A) the price B) the reviews and C) the supplements that come free with it (online question and review etc etc)

but yeah, nothing really compares to the GMATprep. That's pretty much as close as you're gonna get to the actual test besides actually taking one for real.
