I want to know what are my realistic chances of getting into one of the Top 20 B-School with the following assumptions. I am currently in an undergraduate program.

1. My GPA remains the same (or raises by .2)
2. [If] I achieve a GMAT of 690
3. President of a campus academic club

(but)

4. My university is low level (Tier 2).

In a way, my question is what a. affect will this have on my potential acceptance, b. would I have to compensate for it, and c. if so, how much?

can you elaborate. your question is not very clear. what's your gpa? when are you planning to apply to schools? what are you doing after undergrad? are you trying to decide how to spend limited time?

-My GPA is 3.5.
-Plan to apply around 2017.
-After undergrad, I plan to go into investment trainee program.
-On spending limited time, yes and no. Yes, because time is limited until I graduate anyway- and no, because I mostly wanna know about my choice in undergraduate school.

It looks like you are still in college... My advice for you is to enjoy college and don't worry too much about grad school for the timing being just focus on getting good grades and getting a nice job after college.. Once you have about 3 years of work experience than you can make a decision about Business schools and which programs fit your needs better

I already have about 5 years work experience in business and management, at the moment.

I have a lot of reasons to want to go to grad school. Just trying to get a feel for what I would need to set myself up for.
