Best options coming straight out of college? [#permalink]

I'll be graduating this May from U. of Kentucky with degrees in finance and computer science, and think I'd like to get into asset management or perhaps investment banking. I think I have a pretty strong academic record (GMAT 730, GPA 3.96, lots of calculus, part-time research work, etc.), and I'd really like to end up working at a financial firm in Charlotte. I've considered pursuing an MS Finance degree (that's why I took the GMAT to begin with), but I'm still unsure. Eventually, I think I'd like to get an MBA, but right now, I don't have any full-time work experience. What are my best options coming right out of college?

The easy answer: Be gainfully employed for 3 or so years in a field that interests you, then apply to MBA programs
A more complicated answer: Seek deferred entry programs now, be gainfully employed for 2 or so years, then enter your deferred entry MBA program
Another route: Gain admission to an MSF program, work as a quant for a few years, then seek general training as an MBA

what's the purpose of deferring admission now if in 3 years he can get into much better bus school?...

I am just presenting an array of options- some students might place a high subjective value on the certainty of being admitted before entering the workforce.
