Best Strategy for preparing from Scratch the GMAT: anyone? [#permalink] New post 22 Aug 2004, 15:06
Hi,
Just planning to start next week with the preparation of GMAT.

Although I am familiar with the contents, OG and Kaplan, I have 3 main difficulties:

1) I have difficulties in structuring my study time and systematic approach (I need a "plan" to follow)

2) I tend to forget how to APPROACH exercises that I have previously approached well....(I did not do an error log..is that necessary?)

3) Finally, since I am intl, I really need to improve my verbal section. What book/s can I use in order to improve in this area? LSAT?

:)

thanks in advice!

if u r working the best thing to do is devote 1and half hour early in the morning for 1 section and 1and half hour at night.Try solving 40 questions each time.During the weekend take a full length test.
In your free time or lunch breaks u can work on essay writing(essay questions can be downloaded from mba.com)

U can also try reading RCs from LSATmaterial.try to understand what is being conveyed in the passage.U can start at your own pace and gradually increase the speed.

try princeton or kaplan verbal workbook.

practice as much as u can and always work 2words achieving efficiency at high speed.
