As it is that time of year where we all start getting our admit packages in the mail, we have an important question to answer...which b-school sends out the best swag?

Of my admits so far, Tuck's scarf and wool hat are by far the winners. Fuqua is a runner up with a horrible tie, magnet, and calendar. Georgetown brings up the rear.

NOW what about you?

Haha nice thread. I was pretty pumped about the Fuqua tie, but now I have no clue what I'm going to do with it at Kellogg. Kellogg gave a cool portable charger for your cell phone, iPad, etc.

Did it come yet? They sent me UPS tracking about last night, before they even sent me the official acceptance email, found it funny that they must REALLY care about sending it out quick haha.

P.S. Defying, congrats on getting in EVERYWHERE. What were your stats?

MIT Sloan gave a zip up leather clutch tote which I will be using to organize business cards with and an aluminium travel identification card holder with MIT Sloan logo to keep track of your luggage.

Many of these items sound very cool . I had no idea admitted students were mailed packages , that's pretty darn neat. Is this a standard across all schools in the top 20 ? Or is it more of a top 10 tradition?

Wow, the swag this year got much better than last year!

Kellogg and Sloan win from what I've read here! @kingfalcon, want to snag me a set? ;)

Fuqua gave out ties this year?! Last year they gave us a magnet and a drawstring backpack. Yale gave out leather padfolios; HBS did too. UVA gave a keychain; UCLA gave a USB drive.

I like that Tuck gave out something school-specific yet useful on a day-to-day basis. Future Tuckies, don't forget your scarves and hats!

Idea: Ranking of bschools based on swag? Someone has to take this on!

I've seen "Tuck" followed by "buried in snow" around the internet a lot.. Scarves and hats make a lot of sense...

Yeah whereas Tuck went for quality, Fuqua definitely went for overwhelming quantity ha ha. They did a tie, magnet, draw string bag, a mobile phone cleaner / icon, and a branded clip. Georgetown did the USB drive too.

So, challenge accepted on the rankings, here is the first bash.

1. Tuck - Scarf and wooly hat
2. Kellogg - Portable charger
3. Fuqua - Tie and 9 other things
4. Yale SOM - Portfolio
4. HBS - Portfolio
4. GSB - Portfolio
7. MIT Sloan - Leather clutch
8. INSEAD - Passport holder
9. Emory - Moleskin
10. UCLA - USB drive
10. Georgetown - USB drive

So it's fair to say that Booth and CBS weren't so generous in their swag-giving?

Adding a couple more: maize and blue mini flag with a block M and "Ross" on it (from Ross obviously) and a branded pen from Tepper.

CBS was pretty generous!

During the admitted students weekend (Columbia Connect I) we got a CBS notebook, CBS headphones, CBS leather name tag, and a CBS thermos.

I think we have a new contender for the top spot. Sounds like Columbia went for the Fuqua approach (deluge of items), but perhaps a little more useful items ha ha.
