Okay I finally did it. I took the first GMAT Prep test. My score was a woeful 610. Discouraging. Did okay on the verbal 92%ile. Quant was another story, 38%ile. But here is the interesting part (to me at least), I got every problem I attempted correct but was unable to finish secondary to time.

How do I speed up in quant? If I can speed up I can kick butt on this thing.

the math strategies will reduce time to solve each Q and hence increase ur score. however, you have to memorize some formulas/numbers/diagrams as posted here and in MGMAT

well i will suggest you to set up a bench mark of 1000 Q for quant (500 PS and 500 DS)and you will automatically learn all the roots sq root , squares, factors, sum of numbers various multiplication techniques etc.

I don't quite understand what you are referring to by a "benchmark of 1000Q." Is this 1000 questions? Where do I get 1000 questions? from here?

Thanks for your help. It is greatly appreciated.
