Hi All,

Just got back from the GMAT center. I took a secret test today...didn't tell anyone I was taking it...and came out with a 680 (Q44, V39).

I'll admit I was bummed about my quant score since I had scored consecutive 48's previously, but the fact that I increased my verbal from 29 to 39 is great!!! Previous times I scored 25 and 29 so this was a nice surprise!

Is it enough to get me into UCLA??? Maybe. Maybe not. At least I have a somewhat more competitive score than my previous 640.

Am I bummed I didn't get the 720 I deserve (had i gotten a 48 on quant)? Yeah but I'm at the point where I'm not looking gift horse in the mouf.

Am I stoked with my progression from a 580 to a 680? Hell yeah.

Time to celebrate and decide whether I should re-take the test to get my 700+ or not.

At this time, probably not; I'll see if I have enough time to get my app in for the Round 2 deadline (1/2).

Peace out!

The one person I know at UCLA had exactly your score, and a fairly typical resume. So if that is your goal school, I think you have a decent shot at it.
