Bill is planning to watch some of his 5 favorite movies this weekend. If Bill only has time to watch 4 and hasn`t decided if he will watch any of the movies more than once, then how many different schedules of movies can he create?

(A) 3125
(B) 625
(C) 120
(D) 20
(E) 5

Please explain your answer.

Hima..why do you think order counts in this case?? Is that because he hasn't decided whether will watch the movie more than once??

Differents schedules, so the order counts.

Since it is written that Bill didn't decide IF he is going to watch the movies more than once, so let's take this into consideration:

First movie: Bill has 5 option

Second movie: Bill has 5 option

Third movie: Bill has 5 option

Fourth movie: Bill has 5 option

Answer: 5 x 5 x 5 x 5 = 625;

IF the question mentions that Bill will not be watching the movies more than once, than the answer will be:

5 x 4 x 3 x 2 x 1 = 120
