Although the new screening tests are estimated to disqualify up to 5 percent of all prospective blood donors, they will still miss two-thirds of donors carrying NANB hepatitis. Therefore, about 10 percent of actual donors will still supply NANB-contaminated blood

since some of the donors will be rejected total blood supply will go down...

D is the answer

Was deciding between C & D.
As C can also imply that the demand for blood fom blood banks may even decrease. Hence D is the answer.

Will go with D.
The number of persons whose blood will be accepted decreases hence the supply decreases.
