Hello everyone, I hope someone can provide some kind of help or advice for my situation. Here goes - I graduated from the Univ of Arizona with a bachelors in Business Management in the summer of 2005. My overall gpa was pretty low (2.89), but have a 3.4 gpa for my major. Since then I have taken a break from school (for 2-3 months) with thoughts of working for sometime before going for a Masters or an MBA degree. However, I wasn't able to find a company that could sponsor me (me being an international student) and so I decided to go for a Masters or MBA and join a program in Spring 07. I took the gmat today and bombed it, (I had been averaging a 630 in the Kaplan practice tests as I am a full time student with them currenly) but got a very low score in the actual test today which I would rather not mention. The deadline for International applicants in most universities for Spring 07' is Oct 1, 2006. Now I am not sure what I should do as I cannot retake the gmat before oct 1. I was planning on applying for Masters in Management Information Systems.
After reading through various posts on this forum, I feel that I am not prepared and would be a weak candidate to get into a masters/MBA program in a decent school. The schools I was considering applying to were: Univ of Toledo,Ohio(safety school), University of Nevada Las Vegas, Univ of Cincinnati. Three of my professors in the business school at the Univ of Arizona have agreed to write recommendation letters for me. I am totally confused and dejected at this moment as I feel totally let down with my gmat failure. I am prepared and determined now to put in the effort to make things right. I apologize for the lenghty post and I would appreciate ANY kind of advice or suggestions anyone may have for me.
